A little personal background may help you in getting to know me. I have been married for 33 years. My wife and I have three grown children; two boys and a girl. We have lived in the Northwest part of Houston since I finished my OB/GYN training at Baylor College of Medicine. I was born in 1950 and did my undergraduate studies in the Northeast. In 1971 I interviewed for medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center. The acceptance came and in July 1972 I started my training at the Baylor College of Medicine. I finished in 3 years and immediately started my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. It was a 4 year program involving rotations through The Methodist Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Ben Taub Hospital, Jeff Davis Hospital, Veterans Hospital and Women's Hospital. I finished my training in 1979. I then started private practice in the FM 1960 area of Houston TX, and remained in the same location practicing at
Houston Northwest Medical Center Hospital and Texas Outpatient Surgery Center. I remain on the teaching staff at Baylor College of Medicine. I am Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (F.A.C.O.G.) as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
(F.A.C.S.). The only other point of interest is the recent decision to move my practice to the new St. Luke's Hospital at The Vintage. The hospital opened it's doors on December 1, 2010 at which point I started working there and now all my in-hospital work will be done at St. Luke's. My physical office will move there in the summer of 2011. |
